Watermarks Exhibition

Banks Peninsular is a place with a continuously evolving landscape. While volcanic forces created a starting point, the constant pressure of water, from both the ocean and the sky, sculpt the landforms and regulate all living things. These images react to the energy within the water and observe the relationship with the land.

The reality of the captured subject takes a backseat to the evocation of feeling and mood.

The images are presented with an encaustic wax overlay, a deliberate choice influenced by my aversion to confining photographs behind glass frames. The wax not only provides protection but also adds another layer of significance to the artwork
